MADE TO BE YOURS

We craft guitar keepsakes that feel like they were always yours. Each creation begins as a carefully chosen plank — walnut, cherry, or maple. Precision engraved. Hand-finished. Made for one person, not everyone.

OUR TONEWOODS

Hand-Selected

Walnut
Medium
Walnut
Deep and warm. Rich chocolate grain that darkens with age. Used by Taylor for backs and sides, favored by boutique luthiers worldwide.
Oak
Hard
Oak
Dense and pale. Rare in guitar making due to its sheer density, yet sought out by boutique luthiers for its warm, lively tone.
Rosewood
Hard
Rosewood
Dense, dark, and resonant. Perhaps the most revered tonewood in the world. The iconic fretboard of the Gibson Les Paul and Martin D-28.
Maple
Medium
Maple
Bright and articulate. Fine grain. Clean presence. The backbone of nearly every Fender Stratocaster neck. The flamed top of the Gibson Les Paul Standard. The body of the ES-335.
Cherry
Medium
Cherry
Warm from the start, richer over time. It naturally darkens with exposure to light — no two pieces age the same. Favored by Seagull for acoustic backs and sides.
BEHIND THE CRAFT

Meet the Makers.

Oakley Suen
Oakley Suen
Founder & Craftsman

A sculpture graduate of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, Oakley has always treated wood as a material worth taking seriously. When he handcrafted a wooden pick case for his girlfriend Jeanne's birthday, he had no idea it would change everything. Her friends fell in love with it immediately — and PickandCase was born. Today he personally crafts every wooden pick case and wooden pick in the workshop.

Jeanne Rousseau
Jeanne Rousseau
Co-Founder & Designer

The guitarist who started it all. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Jeanne brings a designer's precision to everything PickandCase does. Alongside customer care and hand-drawn engraving designs, she handcrafts every leather accessory and resin pick — different materials, the same exactness.

Tyler Brooks
Tyler Brooks
Keepsake Artisan

Tyler joined PickandCase from the world of fine jewellery, and leads the craft behind two distinct lines. The first: picks cut and shaped directly from natural mother of pearl, where the material's own lustre is the only decoration needed. The second: the Keepsake collection — abalone shell set into pendants, turning a guitar pick into something meant to be worn. More series to come, all made by his hands.

Head of Quality Control

She has strong opinions about our work. Mostly expressed through chewing. Any piece that doesn't meet her standards gets dealt with swiftly and without mercy. Several finished pieces we were quite proud of have not survived her feedback. Her methods are unconventional. Her standards are non-negotiable.

THE DIFFERENCE

Why PickandCase.

I
Made by Artists

Oakley studied sculpture in Bologna. Jeanne trained in Paris. Every piece is made by someone who spent years learning how to make things worth keeping.

II
No Two Are the Same

No inventory. No batches. Made to order, by hand, after you place yours. What arrives at your door exists nowhere else.

III
Wood That Guitarists Know

Walnut. Cherry. Maple. Rosewood. The same tonewoods that build the world's finest guitars — chosen because you already know what they mean.

IV
A Gift Worth Keeping

Most gifts get put away. This one gets opened every day. Gift-ready packaging. Something they'll reach for long after the occasion is forgotten.

★★★★★

"I made a birthday gift for my husband, customized from the same mahogany as his guitar — and engraved my daughter's handwritten 'Dad, I love you.' When he opened it, he got really emotional."

Made for You. Only You.

Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for someone to claim it. Every piece begins its life the moment you place your order — built for the way you play, the roads you travel, the music you carry.

Rooted in the Forests We Use

We make our cases from trees. So a portion of every sale goes back to protecting them — supporting U.S. environmental nonprofits working to preserve the forests that make our craft possible.

Your Music Has No Borders.
